Donnie Crosby, Founder of The Selfway Foundation, was born and raised in urban Toledo, Ohio. From an early age, he developed discipline, resilience, and determination through a successful amateur boxing career, which he pursued passionately until the age of 20.
In his early adult years, Mr. Crosby advanced his professional experience in the insurance industry, where he gained valuable business, management, and interpersonal skills. His time in this field helped shape his understanding of structure, financial literacy, and the importance of helping individuals plan for their future.
Guided by a deep passion for creativity and personal growth, Donnie went on to become a master studio engineer and the Chief Executive Officer of Selfway Records. These experiences strengthened his leadership, organizational, and community engagement abilities while allowing him to use music as a platform for expression and empowerment.
Now, in 2025, at 35 years old, Mr. Crosby has channeled his life experiences, professional skills, and commitment to service into establishing The Selfway Foundation. The organization is dedicated to promoting empowerment, education, and opportunity within underserved communities.
His belief that "Self Enlighten, Live Forever Wisely, Acquire Yourself" — the meaning behind SELFWAY — serves as the Foundation's guiding philosophy: that true and lasting change begins within oneself and extends outward to uplift others.
